My Design Process

My design process is grounded in the tenets of design thinking, lean UX and the Agile methodology. This helps me move fast in ambiguous environments, keep my solutions human centered, consider technical constraints and align with business goals. Cross-disciplinary collaboration, empathy for our users and their needs, fast experiments and iterative prototyping is the driving force behind my process. This keeps me focused on the user, business and technology and not my own needs.

Research

Learn & Think

I dive right into research, empathy and strategy. I then unpack and synthesize what I've learned to better understand the business goals, user goals and context of use, and the problem at hand.

Make

Paper. Pixel. Collaborate.

Next I move quickly through paper sketches, wireframes, and lo-fi prototypes all the while in constant collaboration with product owners, business analysts, other designers, and developers.

Insights Inform Design

Iteration is the one constant that runs through the entire process. As we learn from rapidly cycling through build, test, measure, I continually reflect, revise, and refine the KPIs, business goals, and user goals, all while collaborating with my team.
